Ellen Hedin - Floor Lamp OAK
kr35,000.00
Ellen Hedin (b. 1995, Stockholm) is a Swedish designer who graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Design from HDK-Valand in 2022. Hedin's furniture has been exhibited internationally and is represented in private collections, museums, galleries, and stores worldwide.
She works with unique, handcrafted objects, often made from recycled materials that carry traces of their past. Hedin's work is inspired by memories, emotions, and everyday details, exploring everything from beauty and humor to the more unsettling and sometimes frightening aspects of life.
Hedin has created a lamp series where she combines steel with organic materials such as shells and oyster shells from Bohuslän, all sourced from her own collection. A recurring theme in Hedin's work is the encounter between the industrial and the natural, where unexpected combinations of materials give the pieces a sense of both rustic and sophisticated aesthetics.
The lamps, including the tall lamp Rose, the floor lamp Oak, and the chandelier Pear, are all handcrafted and unique. They are inspired by plants and trees in urban environments, utilizing food waste, materials from the sea, and items from recycling stations.
