Estelle Graf

Estelle Graf is a Stockholm-based artist known for her satirical approach to storytelling through visual art. She began her career as an Art Director in Paris and has since developed a distinctive artistic voice that often blends humor with social commentary.

Central to Estelle’s work is the use of satire and anthropomorphic characters, frequently animals with human bodies. This strategy allows her to explore complex emotional or societal themes while softening the tone of the message. “It’s convenient to use an animal head to capture a character,” she explains. “It also automatically softens the tone, which makes it easier to be honest in the portrayal.” Her art invites viewers to reflect on human behavior, often revealing the absurdity or contradictions of modern life in a comically poignant way.

Estelle's work has been exhibited and sold internationally, and she has been featured in publications such as Harper's Bazaar, Elle Decoration, and PLAZA Interior. Through her practice, Estelle seeks to share fragments of stories and provoke thought, allowing her audience to interpret and expand upon the narrative threads she presents.
