Artist
Robert Möllard
Robert Möllard is a Stockholm-based artist whose practice combines painting, writing, photography, video, calendars, robes, pearls, and even a drumkit to challenge art conventions and contemporary value structures. He is a self-taught artist with a background in architecture, engineering, and design.
Möllard’s artistic language is marked by a playful blend of conceptualism, ambiguity, and childlike experimentation. Drawing from his multifaceted background, he constructs works that question the limits of good taste and the mechanisms by which we assign value to aesthetics. Each piece serves as an invitation to reconsider our assumptions about what art is and what it can be. By weaving together disparate mediums and references, he creates a hybrid visual language that is as humorous and provocative as it is thoughtful.
In November 2021, he presented his first solo exhibition at WAY Gallery Sthlm and has since participated in several group exhibitions and collaborative projects. Robert Möllard’s evolving body of work continues to open up new perspectives on the possibilities of artistic expression.
