Alice Hägglund a.k.a. BUTCH X FEMME explores themes of décor and beauty through an artistic language that merges elements from diverse mainstream and subcultures. Moving between masculine and feminine aesthetics, she creates works that question and expand conventional ideas of ornamentation.

Her approach shifts between intuitive, devil may care gestures and meticulous handling of both new and recycled materials. The results are works that blend rawness with intricate detail, reimagining beauty in unconventional forms. With her graduation project Genderfucked Ornament she became one of the winners of Ung Svensk Form in 2022, and since then she has exhibited in Stockholm and Milan with the artist collective Misschiefs. In May 2023 she presented a solo exhibition at WAY gallery Sthlm.
